Hello, I am the manager here at Events by Eagle but I am also a bride. My fiancé Jonathan and I have been engaged since last February and our wedding date is Sept. 19th 2009. It has been a very long engagement but has given us a lot of time to work on planning.

 

April 16, 2009

Wow, I can not believe we are already half way through April. On Sunday it will be exactly five months until the wedding! Our plans are coming along smoothly there is not a whole lot left to do at this point; until closer to the time. My maid of honor is coming next Thursday, whom I have not seen since January so needless to say I am very excited, we are going to go shoe shopping since I still have not picked out shoes for the girls to wear and I still don’t have shoes for me either. I absolutely love shoes so I am very picky, they either make or break an outfit. So they need to be perfect!

The DJ search is finally complete we meet with Mixed Up Productions a few weeks ago and decided they were perfect. The owner Mike was absolutely great. He informed us they can do a much or as little as we would like them to. This is amazing because I do not want to have to worry about a thing! We feel very happy with our decision. I also ordered my dress last week as well, so we are on our way 6 months and counting…

For the past week I have been on the search for a DJ we have been kind of putting it off and I decided enough is enough we just need to find one. Seeing the wedding is only 9 months away. So I started going though flyers from bridal shows, asking peoples advice on DJs they have heard of or recommend. We contacted the DJ that looked the best to us which is Mixed-Up Productions out of Harrisburg. They seem very professional all three guys are radio DJ’s which makes me think they will do a good job. At this point they have our date open so we just have to decide if we want to go with them or continue to search. I vote book them I am tired of searching but we’ll see what Jon has to say.

We finally found suites for the male members of the bridal party. My advice to any brides, who are interested in suites, is to start looking for suites early if you want to rent them. Not very many places rent suites. We ended up renting out suites at Central PA Tuxedo. They had a very nice selection to choose from we are doing navy suites with green and orange ties. We are purchasing our own ties so they are a little more original then the rented ties. They gave us a special ˝ off if everyone is fitted and paid by Dec. 31st. Now the problem is getting everyone into the tuxedo shop to get fitted before the end of the month. So we will have to see how that goes. Now we are starting to look for a DJ.

As of right now Jonathan and I are searching for the perfect suites for the male members for the bridal party. We are also still in the market for a florist and DJ. As far as decorations go right now I am just gathering as many ideas as I can for centerpieces and floral arrangements. I have so many ideas I am not sure I will be able to make up my mind, but I am sure with Jonathan's influence we will be able to decide on the perfect final touches.
